Ah Leute.... Habe eine Antwort gefunden von Pullmann persönlich:

Pullman: Well, you know how babies are born? A stork comes along…pause for audience laughter I don’t know! People have asked me this question quite often. I have never had to write a scene of a daemon being born. If I had, I would find out and know about it. Daemon gynecology is a mystery to me.
